We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fibre Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality fibre optic installations and maintenance across a variety of projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, splice, and test fibre optic cables in both underground and overhead networks
  • Diagnose and resolve faults using tools such as OTDR and power meters
  • Perform fibre terminations and joint enclosures to a high standard
  • Conduct site surveys and determine optimal installation methods
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain accurate records, including test results and detailed site reports

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Fibre Engineer or similar field-based role
  • Strong knowledge of fibre optic cabling, splicing techniques, and testing procedures
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and network schematics
  • Hands-on experience with OTDR, fusion splicers, and related fibre testing tools
  • Valid UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications such as NRSWA, PIA Accreditations (SA001, SA002, S007, S008)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Job Title: Network Engineer (CCNA Level)

Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid / On-Site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Entry to Mid-Level
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer with CCNA-level expertise to join our growing team in the UK. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of remote work and on-site client visits, depending on project requirements.

As part of the team, you will contribute to delivering cutting-edge IT and network infrastructure solutions across various sectors, including IP Core, firewall systems, and high-performance network deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and support of IP Core and firewall networks
  • Carry out network equipment installation, configuration, and structured cabling
  • Perform both remote and on-site troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Monitor network performance and contribute to optimization and security enhancements
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to clients

Requirements:

  • Valid CCNA certification (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls (preferably Cisco or Fortinet)
  • Familiarity with structured cabling and network hardware setup
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • UK-based with the ability to travel to client sites when required

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with DWDM or advanced IP Core networks
  • Exposure to enterprise networking environments
  • Familiarity with network security tools and practices
